Your provisional car licence. Arrive 15 minutes early. Nothing else may be taken into the test room.
57 minutes of multiple choice, an optional 3 minute break, then the hazard perception clips. You must pass both in the same sitting.
Your pass certificate lasts 2 years. Then the practical driving test.

Is the car theory test getting harder?
No. The question bank is revised each year but the format, the length and the pass marks have not changed. The pass rate has fallen because preparation has, not because the test has.
How long does my theory pass last?
Two years. If you have not passed the practical driving test by then, you retake the theory.
Can I book the practical before passing the theory?
No. Your theory pass certificate number is required to book the practical test.
Do I need a driving instructor to use this?
No. Many people pass their theory before their first lesson, which is the sensible order, since you cannot book a practical test until your theory is done.
