PCV test questions

Is PCV the same test as LGV?

The format, timings and pass marks are identical. The question bank is not: PCV is written around passengers, accessibility and service driving.

Do I need a car licence first?

Yes, plus provisional PCV entitlement on your licence.

Why are there two pass rates for PCV theory?

Because it is two separate tests, booked and paid for separately: multiple choice, and hazard perception. The multiple choice is the one that catches people out.

How long does my theory pass last?

Two years.
