COOKIES ETC.:
ERROR AND CRASH REPORTING:
When something breaks on our website or in our iOS and Android apps, we send a report to our error tracking provider, PostHog, so we can find and fix it. A report contains the error message and the technical trace behind it, the page or screen you were on, your browser or device type, and a randomly generated identifier. It does not contain your answers, your progress or your payment details.
We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the Service working, safe and secure. Because of that, crash reports are still sent if you decline analytics cookies, since a broken page needs fixing whether or not you have agreed to be measured. In that case nothing is stored on your device, the report is not linked to your name or email address, and we do not use it to build any picture of you as a visitor. Where you are signed in and have accepted analytics, a report may be linked to your account so that we can tell whether a problem is affecting one person or everybody.
To object to this, or to ask what we hold, email us at support@theorytestpassed.co.uk.
EMAILS AND REMINDERS:
The weekly progress email is off until you turn it on in your account. Once on, we send it once a week, on Sunday evening, with your practice numbers for the last 7 days and the topics to work on next. We use our email provider, Resend, to send it. Every one of these emails has an unsubscribe link, and you can also turn it off in your account at any time. If an email to your address bounces or is marked as spam, we turn it off for you.
The daily practice reminder in our iOS and Android apps is also off until you turn it on. Only then do we register your device with our push notification provider, OneSignal, which holds a push token for your device, basic device data such as the device type, operating system and app version, and your account identifier, so that a reminder reaches the right device. We send at most 1 reminder a day, only on days you have not practised. You can turn it off in the app or in your device settings, and when you delete your account we ask OneSignal to delete what it holds about you.
We rely on your consent for both. Turning either of them off withdraws it, and nothing else about your account changes.
SECURITY:
Your info’s safety is our priority at TheoryTestPassed. We use reasonable measures to shield it from misuse, but remember, no security is foolproof. Transmit info to us at your own risk.
COMPLAINT / DATA PROTECTION OFFICER:
