Theory Test Pro or Theory Test Passed: which is better for your theory test?
Both licence the DVSA question bank. The difference is how you pay, and what happens if your test is not next week.
Theory Test Pro has a long track record, it is used by a lot of driving schools, and their progress reporting for instructors is genuinely good. If you want a pass you can cancel after a fortnight and you are confident you will pass quickly, they are a reasonable choice and cheaper up front.
We are not a neutral party, so read the table below as ours and check anything that matters to you on their own site. Every price here is date-stamped.

Competitor details as published on their own site and app listing in August 2026. The £23 figure is the DVSA car theory test fee. Motorcycle, LGV, PCV and ADI are priced separately by both parties. We review these figures quarterly, and if something here is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
Who should choose what
- You are confident you will pass inside a month
- Your instructor already uses their school dashboard
- You prefer a short subscription to a purchase
- You do not want recurring billing
- You want your language beside the English, not instead of it
- You might take longer than a month
- You want to see your click timing on hazard clips, not just a score
- You only want the category you are taking, not a bundle
Try both. One of them is free to test.
Sit our full 50 question mock with no sign-up, then decide. One payment for your category, £4.49 for car, no subscription.
